MIAMS uniquely celebrated 5th National Ayurveda Day. Direct telecast of the programme organized by Ayush Department was arranged in the Conference Hall in which the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the occasion of 5th National Ayurveda Day via video conferencing. Around 65 members including doctors, teachers, PG students and interns witnessed the programme live in the auditorium. Around 300 students witnessed the programme virtually (online) at their home. Dr.Sathyanarayana B, Principal of the Institution inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and addressed the gathering It was followed by Webinar. Dr. Shripathi Adiga.H M.D. (Ayu), Associate Professor, Division of Ayurveda, Centre for Integrative Medicine and Research, Manipal Academy of Higher Education spoke on “Principles of Samprapti and practice of Panchakarma in Bahudoshavastha”. Dr.Ashitha R, Assistant Professor,Department of Swasthavritta, Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal delivered a talk on Hygienic strategies to combat Covid 19 – An Ayurvedic approach.
A National Level Online Essay Competition was held on the topic Insight to Hand Hygiene in Ayurveda by the institution in association with Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad (VAP), Karnataka Mysuru Chapter.
