Nutrition Campaign- POSHAN

Muniyal Ayurveda College in association with Udupi Muncipal corporation Department of Women and Child Welfare, Department of Health and family Welfare, Udupi District  Legal Legal Tribunal Government Higher Primary School, Shettibettu succesfully organised “Nutrition Campaign- POSHAN’ in connection with Nutrition Month September 2021 at Shettibettu Government Higher primary School Auditorium on 24.09.2021. Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary Udupi District Legel Services Tribunal Mrs.Sharmila  inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp, released posters of POSHAN campaign and explained the importance of Nutrient food for maintaing good health.She also created awareness on Legal protection against Domestic violence and called for effective utilisation of such facilities.Resource person  Dr.Nivedita Hebbar of Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, explained in detail about traditional food practices in improving the health. A yoga demonstration was given for the students.The Medical officer of Hirebettu PHC Dr.Narasimha Nayak said that the programme held under the POSHAN Campaign was very meaningful  and people should  utilise such facilities.He also called for the pregnant and post natal mothers to take Covid  vaccine and thereby  avoid  any complications in future. “Azadi ka Amritha Mahotsava”  was celebrated along with POSHAN –Month with an awareness talk on freedom fighters by Smt.Sridevi, Headmistress of Shettibettu School.Child welfare officer Smt.Veena Vivekanand gave an introductory   talk on the POSHAN Campaign Scheme. Staff of health department, Anganawadi Teachers, Helpers, Pregnant and Post natal ladies, parents, children attended the programme. The Headmaster of Shettibettu Higher Primary School Mr.Lakshmeesh welcomed the gathering and the Supervisor Smt.Poornima conducted the programme and also conveyed the vote of thanks.
