Department of Sanskrit Siddhanta and Samhita (Department of Basic principles)
Department of Sanskrit Samhita and Siddhanta is one of the pre-clinical departments that impart knowledge in the fundamentals of Ayurveda and the Sanskrit language in the1st professional of B.A.M.S. course. Other than Sanskrit four subjects are taught by this department at the UG level viz. Padartha vijnana, History of Ayurveda, Ashtangahridaya Sutrasthana and Charakasamhita. The Department is also imparting teaching, both clinical and literary, on the fundamental doctrines of Ayurveda on scientific lines.
