Mental Health Awareness Programme Held at Alevoor

 As part of the National Ayurveda Day 2026 Community Outreach Programme, Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal, organised a Mental Health Awareness Programme at Subhodini School, Alevoor, in association with Sanjeevini Samruddhi Mahila Okkoota, Alevoor

The programme was held on 09.09.2026 from 11 am to 12.30 pm and was attended by 80 women from the community.An awareness session on “Mental Health through Ayurveda in Women” was delivered by Dr. Rashmi Kalkura, Assistant Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa, MIAMS, Manipal. The session focused on the importance of mental well-being among women, recognition of early warning signs of emotional and psychological concerns, healthy lifestyle practices, stress management and positive coping strategies. The importance of seeking timely ayurveda support was also highlighted.

UG Final Year BAMS students Dharani Shetty, Prerana and Trupthi participated and  gained practical exposure to community interaction and health education.

The programme successfully created awareness about mental health and psychological well-being through Ayurveda among women in the community.
