Librarians day

N.S.S Unit of Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences celebrated “Librarians day” in commemoration of Dr.S.R. Ranganathan’s 123rd Birthday. As a tribute to this great personality, his birthday has been observed as librarian’s day. The Resource person of the Day, Dr. Shivananda Bhat K, Associate Professor and Coordinator, Department of Library & Information Sciences, KMC Manipal, demonstrated how to use PubMed Database and other Medical Database and how to use it in literary search. He highlighted about information literacy and how librarians provide information to the user community in a very meticulous way.
