Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru in partnership with UNICEF organized NSS Orientation Programme and inauguration of “Engagement of NSS Volunteers for Social and Behaviour Change among communities to avail Health and Nutrition Services in Karnataka Project” on 27.04.2022, 9.00 A.M to 4.30 P.M at College Seminar Hall. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Kalpana Sudhama, Municipal Councilor, Manipal Ward inaugurated the programme.
N.S.S officer of Institution Dr.Sudeepa gave the key note address about the project. Dr.Sathyanarayana B, Principal of MIAMS, wished the programme a success. Dr.Navya Vyasa, Assistant Professor, Senior Scale, Prasanna school of Public Health, MAHE conducted first session on the topic “Strategies for Engagement of NSS Volunteers for Social and Behavior Change among communities to avail Health and Nutrition Services”. Dr.Niveditha Y Hebbar, Associate Professor, Department of Kaumarabhrithya gave a lecture on Importance of Routine Immunization. Dr.Ashitha R, Assistant Professor, Department of Swasthavritta covered the topic of Anemia. 120 N.S.S Volunteers actively participated in the programme.
