Rotaract Club of Muniyal Group of Institutions in association with Yuvaspoorthi organized ” Sahyog” a free medical consultation and treatment for the children of Krishnanugraha Orphanage on 24/02/23 from 2.30- 4.30 pm. The event was inaugurated by Rotarian Renu Jayaram,President, Rotary Club Manipal and Dr. Saltyanarayana B, Principal, Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences. The camp involved around 40 children belonging to the age group of 1-15 years.
The event was followed by ‘Joy of giving’ that is providing the children their necessities including Study materials, toys, ornaments and food. The programme also included plantation of medicinal sapling around the playground.
Rotaractor Manohar Bhat ,President, Rotaract Club, Muniyal Institutions addressed the gathering about Child Empowerment, and glimpses of their upcoming projects in the same field..
Rotarian Renu Jayaram (President, Rotary Club Manipal), Mr. Prajwal Shetty ( Founder, Yuvaspoorthi), Dr. Saltyanarayana B, (Principal, MIAMS), Dr. Niveditha Hebbar (Associate Prof, Dept of Pediatrics), Rotaractor Mano har Bhat (President, Rotaract Club, Muniyal Institutions ) and volunteers from Muniyal Group of Institutes were present for the event.
The event also included a small session of games and cultural activities for children.”Sahyog’ project will be extended by doing follow-up by conducting Medical Camps along with training the children in various fields like yoga and craft.
