Tvakshuddhi 2023- A National level Seminar on Dermatology and Cosmetology

A national level seminar “Tvakshuddhi 2023” was inaugurated at Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal on 9th December 2023 at 9.30am. Chief guests Dr. Raghavendra Rao, Dermatologist, Professor and Head Dept of Dermatology, KMC, Manipal; Dr. Guruprasad Aggithaya, Chief Ayurveda consultant, Institute of Applied Dermatology, Kasaragod: Dr.Gopikrishna S Associate Professor, Agadatantra Dept, VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottakkal, Dr.Shraddha Shetty, Trustee, Muniyal group of institutes, Dr.Sathyanarayana B, Prinicipal, Core Committee member Dr.Niveditha Hebber inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp. The session was compered by Dr.Archana Kalluraya, welcome speech was delivered by Dr.Niveditha Hebbar.
Eminent speakers Dr. Raghavendra Rao, Dermatologist,Professor and Head Dept of Dermatology, KMC, Manipal; Dr. Guruprasad Aggithaya, Chief Ayurveda consultant, Institute of Applied Dermatology, Kasaragod: Dr.Gopikrishna S Associate Professor, Agadatantra Dept, VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottakkal delivered guest lecturers on various topics of skin disorders. Demonstration and workshops were organized on soap making and trichology instrument by Dr. Rashmi Suvarna, Chief Consultant, AyuRashmi Clinic, Kinnigoli; Gel and cream making sessions were conducted by Faculty of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana Dr.Vatsala Nayak, Faculties of R&D Department Dr.Akshatha and Mrs.Ashwitha. Above 230 delegates from 27 ayurveda colleges all over the country had participated and more than 140
Scientific paper presentation by the delegates were arranged. During the valedictory session best paper and poster presenters were honored. A book “Rasarnava” written in English by Dr. J Dinesh Nayak, Professor, Dept of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana was released on this occasion. The session was compered by Dr.Madhavi and Dr.Ravishanakar Shenoy delivered vote of thanks. Mrs.Hemalatha Shetty, Mrs.Shloka Shetty, Trustees Muniyal group of Institutes, Core committee member Dr.Sahana, Dr.Rajkiran, All Teaching, Non Teaching, Hospital Staff were present on this programme
