The 18th convocation ceremony “Deekshanthaha” of MIAMS Manipal was held on Saturday 27th August 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in Smt. Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Memorial hall Udupi.
In this ceremony 140 undergraduate students and 13 postgraduate students received their degree certificates. Dr. Satyanarayan Bhat principal, MIAMS Manipal declared the convocation ceremony open and let the graduates’ pledge. The programme was presided by Dr. M. Vijayabhanu Shetty, Chairman, Muniyal Group of Institutions.
Dr H.S. Ballal, Pro chancellor MAHE and President of academy of general education Manipal was the chief guest of the convocation. Dr. H.S.Ballal addressed about Importance of Education, skills development and hardwork. He also spoke regarding scope of Yoga and Ayurveda in present era. The session was graced by the presence of invited guests, parents as well as well-wishers. Mrs. Hemalatha V Shetty, Trustee, Dr. Shraddha V Shetty, Director, Mr. Gurusandesh Shetty, Director(Tech).
Dr Preeti Patil introduced chief guest to the audience. Dr Rashmi Kalkura welcomed the gathering, Vidwan Hari Prasad Bhat delivered vote of thanks. Dr Divya and Dr Ashwini hosted the event.
Convocation and prize distribution ceremony was managed by Dr Ravishankar Shenoy, Dr Gururaj Tantri, Dr Ramesh and Dr Shubha respectively. Mr. Chiranjith Ajila Trustee oversee the smooth conduct of whole programme.
The event was followed by various grand cultural performances by students of MIAMS Manipal.
